UNCF and JP Morgan Wealth Management are currently accepting applications for the 2022 JP Morgan Wealth Management Scholarship Program. The number of historically black colleges (HBCUs) covered has been expanded to 17.
Launched in 2021, this program offers scholarships and mentorship to students studying at the Historically Black Colleges and Technology (HBCU) to help them begin their career as financial advisers. JP Morgan Wealth Management will award a total of 375 scholarships by 2025.
Students receive their first $ 2,000 scholarship and have the opportunity to participate in two paid professional summer programs and acquire the skills to build a career as a financial adviser. Students who complete both the Advancing Black Pathways Fellowship Program and the Financial Advisor Development Track Summer Analyst Program will receive an additional $ 5,000 in scholarship during their fourth year.
“Many students have never considered becoming a financial adviser and don’t even know what they’re doing. I believe this program can help change that,” said JPMorgan Chase consumers. The JP Morgan Wealth Management Scholarship Program is part of JPMorgan Chase’s $ 30 billion commitment to promote racial equality.

This year, six new HBCUs have been added to the list of participating schools, expanding their qualifications to more students across the country.
